Introduction & Summary

At Barks & Rec, our mission is to cultivate a community bound by camaraderie and mutual respect, ensuring our gatherings are free from external disputes and conflicts. While we recognize that outside events may influence dynamics within, our Team is not equipped to mediate pre-existing interpersonal conflicts or to exclude individuals based on disputes originating outside our events. Our spaces are intended for sharing and celebrating common interests in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Actionable Criteria

Our engagement with external incidents is predicated on a legally recognized and observable precedent, such as police reports, court orders, or formal investigations. This approach ensures our actions are both justified and effective in maintaining our community's integrity and safety.

Investigative Confidentiality

Our investigations into such incidents are conducted with utmost respect for the individuals involved. While we maintain transparency about the nature of the actions taken, we strictly protect the privacy and anonymity of all parties.

Reporting

We encourage you to promptly report incidents of harassment or sexual assault to the authorities, which then enables us to address the situation appropriately and ensure our spaces remain comfortable and safe. To report incidents occurring within Barks & Rec spaces, immediately seek a Team Member or Venue Staff for in-person events, or reach out at hello@bandr.org.
