Chat, Comment, and Digital Interaction Policy


Welcome! As part of our commitment to a respectful and engaging community, we've established guidelines for all users across all our digital platforms. This includes chat platforms like Telegram and Discord, social platforms such as Barq and Fetlife, as well as forums and articles. By participating, you agree to adhere to these rules, ensuring a positive experience for everyone involved.

Scope

This policy governs all digital interactions on official platforms owned by Barks & Rec, encompassing chat environments and asynchronous comment sections. It applies to anyone who views, participates in, administers, or engages with these platforms.

Eligibility

All participants must be 21 years or older.

Authority

  1. Moderators (Mods) and Barks & Rec Team Members (Team Members) have the authority to enforce these rules.
  2. Rules may be updated at any time without notice, subject to interpretation by Mods and Team Members.
  3. Barks & Rec is not responsible for interactions in direct/private messages between users.

Prohibited Actions

Members are not allowed to engage in:
  1. Spamming (including stickers, gifs, or text).
  2. Discrimination or harassment (e.g., racism, sexism, homophobia).
  3. Political or religious discussions.
  4. Sharing content related to hard drugs.
  5. Posting full nudity or exposed genitalia.
  6. Engaging in sexual role-play or kink shaming.
  7. Sharing Not-Safe-For-Work (NSFW) media.
  8. Unauthorized advertising of other chats or goods/services.
  9. Misuse of Barks & Rec branding.
  10. Creating unofficial chats with B&R branding.

External Events, Solicitations, and Sensitive Topics

All posts regarding the following topics require prior approval to ensure relevance, trust, and appropriateness for our community.
External Events & Business Solicitations: Not permitted without prior partnership, ensuring promotions benefit our members and adhere to our community standards.
Obituaries: Respectful and tactful notifications require approval to maintain community sensitivity.
Requests for Financial Assistance: To avoid scams and ensure requests are legitimate.
Posts may be removed without notice at the discretion of Mods or Team Members.

Authorization Process

Submit requests for post approval to hello@bandr.org.
Only approval from Team Members via hello@bandr.org is valid; other forms are not accepted.

Enforcement

Members violating these rules are subject to post removal or account banning based on Mods and Team Members' discretion.
Joining Barks & Rec platforms signifies agreement to comply with this policy.
