Staying Safe at Events

Stay Aware: Keep an eye on your belongings and be aware of your surroundings. If something or someone makes you uncomfortable, trust your instincts, remove yourself from the situation, and notify the nearest Team Member of Venue Staff.
Buddy System: Having someone with you can help you feel more secure and provide assistance if needed.
Know Your Limits: Be mindful of your alcohol intake and the effects of any substances that might impair your judgment or physical ability.
Safe Spaces: Familiarize yourself with the location of designated safe spaces or help/operations desks where you can seek assistance if you feel unsafe, overwhelmed, or have a concern to raise.
Emergency Contacts: Keep a list of emergency contacts that is easily accessible.

Respecting Boundaries and Fostering Respectful Interactions

Consent is Key: Always seek explicit consent in interactions with others. Remember, consent can be withdrawn at any time; respect it.
Be an Ally: If you witness behavior that seems disrespectful or non-consensual, consider safely intervening or seek help from Event or Venue Staff.
Educate Yourself: Take advantage of resources provided about personal boundaries, consent, and creating a respectful community.
